Vehicle History

This service lets you look up basic information about a vehicle by entering three pieces of data: the registration number, the VIN, and the date of first registration. The data acquired through this service may help buyers judge the condition of a vehicle before purchasing it and verify the information provided by the seller.

Other online services using the Central Vehicle and Driver Register

Many more services of this type using driver and vehicle data will soon be available. The Ministry of Digital Affairs is currently implementing more convenient digital services for citizens.

We plan to give all drivers the ability to log into the system securely and look up their drivers licenses, penalty points, tickets, and other information. These services will also offer optional e-mail or text message reminders about expiring vehicle inspection certificates and liability insurance as well as other events.

Business owners and institutions will also be given easier access to the Central Vehicle and Driver Register. Statistics from the register will now be available online for use in business and research.

The CEPiK 2.0 Project.

The above services are being developed as part of CEPiK 2.0, a collaborative project by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and its subsidiary the Centre for Information Technology. The project' s main goals include the launching OF a series OF convenient electronic services FOR citizens AND business owners. This is part of the MD’s new strategy in the field of registries and IT projects, according to which data gathered by the state should also serve its citizens. Work on the CEPiK 2.0 project and its associated online services is expected to be complete in 2016. The solutions offered by the project will be continually developed and perfected.
